Do you ever just feel God around you? Sometimes I do, especially if I am outside. We had a bad thunderstorm early this morning. One that rattled the windows and shook the house. My husband already left for work and I was grateful to have our 10-year-old son crawl into our bed when the storm raged outside.
It reminded me of Psalm 29:
Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,[a]
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.[b]
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf,
and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth[c]
and strips the forests bare,
and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”
10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord sits enthroned as king forever.
11 May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless[d] his people with peace!
When have you felt the voice of the Lord in your life?
Dear Kim, I just heard part of your story on Moody Radio.. so touching to hear about Austin. My husband and I lost our 23 yr old son Daniel in 2011. I plan to get your book. Praise God for Heaven. Our son knew the Lord and had accepted Christ as his Saviour. May God Bless you. Love in Christ, Sheila Davis
Oh Sheila, I’m so sorry for your loss, but really glad Daniel knew the Lord! I pray the study blesses you and that your faith and hope remain strong and grow as you focus on the last words of our Savior. Happy Easter – He is Risen – He is Alive!
